On 11 December 2023, the Flexible Working (Amendment) Regulations 2023 were laid before Parliament. These Regulations remove the current requirement for an employee to have been continuously employed for 26 weeks before they are entitled to make a flexible working request.

Under the new Regulations, employees will now be entitled to make a flexible working request from day one of their employment. This right applies to any flexible working application that is made on or after 6 April 2024.

If you would like to discuss the implications of the Regulations, or if we can provide support or assistance on any other employment law matters, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the team on 0141 331 5150.
