Employees whose Expected Week of Childbirth (EWC) is on or after 5 April 2015 may be eligible for Shared Parental Leave.
Shared Parental Leave gives parents more flexibility regarding leave taken upon the birth or adoption of a child, allowing them to share a ‘pot’ of leave if they meet certain eligibility criteria. This is the first time parents are given the opportunity to take parenting leave at the same time.
