BIS consultation opens on collective redundancy rules

Recently, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) has issued a consultation paper seeking views on reforms to improve the consultation process in large scale redundancies.

General employment law changes

One of the consultation’s proposals is to reduce the minimum consultation period for redundancies of 100 or more employees from 90 days to 30 or 45.
