‘Fit for Work’ service

Back in the summer of 2014, the Government announced that a new health and workplace assessment and advisory service would be introduced for employers, employees and GPs in late 2014.

The advisory service, now called ‘Fit for Work’ (FFW), was launched in December 2014 and is being introduced on a phased basis until late spring 2015.

One of the highlights of the new service will be a free occupational health assessment once an employee has been absent from work for four weeks or more. FFW also offers free advice through its website (http://fitforwork.org/) and telephone advisory service.
