New unfair dismissal compensation cap

Last month the Department of Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) has announced that from 29 July 2013 the cap for the unfair dismissal compensatory award will be set at the lower of the current cap of £74,200, or one year's gross pay.

This new cap will apply where the effective date of termination is on or after 29 July 2013.
