Modern Slavery Act

The Modern Slavery Act was introduced to combat crimes of slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking. It recognises that businesses have a role to play in tackling these crimes.

This quick to read guidance document provides an overview of the Act, including the effect on both large and small businesses. We provide guidance on how to ensure compliance with the Act, including what information should be included in an annual slavery and human trafficking statement.
