Head of Litigation
Ross has practised employment law for over 15 years.
Having initially developed his career working in major law firms, Ross joined Just Employment Law as our Head of Litigation.
Over the years, Ross has gained extensive experience of litigating for clients in the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal with an excellent record of success. He has spent the majority of his career advocating employment cases on the ‘front line’, thinking on his feet and representing his clients’ interests to the very best of his ability at all times.
Whilst he is an experienced employment law ‘all rounder’, Ross’s principal focus is on managing JEL’s Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal cases, representing our valued clients throughout the UK on the full spectrum of employment law issues. Our clients benefit greatly from Ross’s expertise in this specialist field.
Ross is measured and precise in his preparation of cases and accomplished at leading evidence from, and cross-examining, witnesses, leaving no stone unturned in his pursuit of success for clients. He’s an expert negotiator and is adept at leading judicial mediation and ensuring the best outcome in cases, be it via negotiated settlement or by defending cases to conclusion, and if necessary, on appeal.
In addition to litigating, Ross is also an experienced trainer, providing our legal team and clients with case law updates and helping to train employers to deal effectively and confidently with challenging issues in the workplace.
Ross tutors employment law students on the Post Graduate Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Glasgow, helping to develop the practical knowledge of the next generation of lawyers and passing on his experience and expertise in this evolving area of law.
