Fiona Gorry

Fiona is JEL’s Head of Litigation.

An accomplished solicitor with over 13 years’ experience in the employment field, Fiona is an established, and well-known, figure in the profession. 

Fiona has a reputation for promoting and defending the interests of employers of all sizes, throughout the UK. Her specific expertise lies in dispute resolution and litigation. When disputes escalate, she is adept at rigorously defending her clients’ interests in contentious proceedings and has an enviable record of successfully representing employers at the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal. Our clients benefit greatly from Fiona’s straight-talking approach and advocacy experience. She has defended claims involving all facets of employment law in the UK including, but not limited to, protected characteristics and discrimination; redundancy; whistleblowing; unfair dismissal; and TUPE.

As our Head of Litigation, Fiona liaises closely with our legal and leadership teams to ensure a consistent approach to representing our valued clients at all times. She also delivers management training for clients and plays a full and active role in our traineeship programme, helping to develop the next generation of specialist solicitors for JEL by sharing her extensive experience.
